KangaMix is for parents and bubs that love walking, talking and exercising all at the same time! This class takes you on various walking tracks with short exercise intervals that concentrate on legs, bums, tums and your pelvic floor. KangaMix is more than just a walk with your baby, it’s an effective way to increase your cardiovascular endurance and strength. Prams and/or carriers are welcome to be used.

Kangatraining is a complete workout during which both cardiovascular endurance/flexibility and muscular capacity/strength are enhanced. Unlike traditional exercise classes, new mums need not worry about finding a babysitter or minding an unsettled baby during class because the babies are worn on them and get to be part of the action! As well as the physical benefits, the opportunity to meet other local mums in a fun, relaxed environment boosts their emotional wellbeing.
Hi, I'm Alison!
Kangatraining is specially designed by midwives, physios and babywearing experts to provide a safe and fun postnatal workout for mums and bubs. The workout includes dance, cardio and strength training with a focus on your pelvic floor. You can begin classes once you have been given the all clear for exercise by your health professional. This is from 6-10 weeks postpartum for a vaginal delivery and at least 12 weeks postpartum if you’ve had a c-section.

The pelvic floor and abdominal muscles as well as correct posture are given special attention. Kangatrainers are also trained in babywearing best practices and can help mums ensure the safest and most comfortable carrying positions for their babies.
As mums of young children themselves, Kangatraining instructors understand that embarking on a post-baby fitness program can be daunting. All instructors are fully certified, having completed a training course in Melbourne, first aid certifications, and exams in anatomy, postnatal health, and babywearing safety.
